In aviation, more so than any other industry, accuracy is paramount to safety. Calibration is necessary for any precision tool or equipment used to certify an aircraft or component, and should only be accomplished by experienced professionals. Our team calibrated over 6,200 tools in 2022 alone, following this standard of excellence. With the addition of our newly opened Texas laboratory, we are set to out-pace this figure in the coming years.

When CAPS Calibration came to Buda Texas, we were pleased to meet Tyler and his team. They do local pickup and delivery in Austin Texas and most tools are returned within a week. They are competitively priced and do a great job. All tools are returned cleaned and properly packaged. Invoicing and calibration certs are on time. We couldn't be happier to have moved our calibration needs to CAPS.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology, based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, sets the national standards that are used by tool and instrument manufacturers and calibration labs. At the maintenance or user level, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) monitors all safety and compliance issues related to shop practices and calibration. CAPS Aviation performs all calibration work to NIST standards and manufacturer specifications.

Our recently expanded tool calibration lab houses all the equipment necessary to service your assets. Our capabilities are constantly being updated to assure fast turn-around times. Our team of experienced technicians have what it takes to get the job done right.

We provide our customers with all necessary calibration data through GAGEtrak and can generate an itemized report of tools due with each order. Each tool is assigned its own unique ID number and most tools will receive a detailed calibration certificate which outlines the specifics of the tool, including rated accuracy and measurement errors.

For standard tools which fail our in-house testing, we do not charge an evaluation fee. In addition to saving you costs, we’ll also help your organization save critical hours searching for replacements. We work with major manufacturers and distributors to coordinate replacements for you. Our extensive resources allow us to handle virtually any specialty tool. If you don’t see an item on our list, please contact us.

We offer free ground shipping throughout the continental United States; excludes Hawaii & Alaska (weight limits apply, please contact us for more information).

We provide pick-up and delivery services for our local customers at VNY, BUR, AUS, SAT, and nearby areas.
