2nd Annual Women in Aviation Day
The second annual “Women in Aviation Day” was held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, California. The event featured recruiters and an inspiring group of panelists sharing their experiences and insights.
Our President and CEO, Jennifer Gamon, was invited to attend as a featured panelist. As the only non-pilot on the panel, Jennifer offered a fresh perspective on running a company in the male-dominated industry of business aviation safety and maintenance support.

#WomenInAviation

Jennifer was joined by Tabitha Teutsch, COO of CAPS Aviation. Together, they started the day with a walking tour of the museum. What a thrill to discover the story of how Marilyn Monroe got her start as a woman in aviation! An exhibit called "Radioplane & The Girl” detailed this local Van Nuys story of how she was encouraged to pursue a career in modeling because of a photoshoot intended to boost morale, arranged by future President of the United States, Captain Ronald Reagan.
That set the tone for an informative and thought provoking question and answer session with experts in their chosen fields. Jennifer was pleased to speak to an audience of young women and future pilots seeking guidance—she often participates in events and "career days" that promote women's careers in aviation.
In keeping with these values, there are two promotions you should know about:
- WIA is offering a free membership to junior members under 18 years of age.
- CAPS Aviation is offering a 10% discount to WIA members.
